Movies: Red Tails

Red Tails is an American war film about African American fighter pilots serving in the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) during World War II, known by many as the Tuskegee Airmen. Red Tails was directed by Anthony Hemingway and executive producer George Lucas. So many people doubted the success of Red Tails but according to media reports Red Tails brought in over $49,000,000.

I went to see Red Tails this weekend and I give it two thumbs up, it was a great movie! I am a lover of history in general and since this movie was released just in time for the start of the celebration of black history month it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

VPX-Redline’s Triple Berry Energy Drink

Let me start by saying I don't drink energy drinks that often because most of them are loaded with caffeine and sugar (two things I'm trying to avoid) but some days I need one to get me through the day since I'm not a big coffee drinker. Anyway, I have been looking for a new energy drink for a while now and I finally decided to try out one of the VPX-Redline drinks. The flavor I tried was the Triple Berry; I like the taste, it’s not too sweet in fact it tasted like flavored water to me. Its suppose to give you energy and aid with weight loss. Does it work? Not really sure if it's aiding my weight loss (because I have a large and very intensive daily routine) but I did notice I have been able to increase my work out time at the gym since I started drinking these.

They come in a package of four 8oz bottles with 2 servings per bottles. Flavors include: Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon Kiwi, Triple Berry, Grape, and Peach Mango. The cost per bottle is a little on the high side, average cost is about $2.50 per bottle but of course this may vary. I purchased my first bottle at the gym where I workout and it was $3.50. They can be purchased by the case at your local nutrition or health food store or at VPXSPORTS.COM. Not sure how much longer my budget will allow me to continue using this product but for now I give it a 4 out 5! Have you tried any of the Redline drinks? If so please share your experience in the comment section below!

Visiting Texas: Let’s Go Texans!

Hey Butterflies! Although I'm a Giants fan because of my love for New York, I'm super excited and proud of my Houston Texans, it's been a long time coming but they are handling mad business this year. I watched them play their first play-off game at a sports bar on yesterday and I got to tell you that the atmosphere was crazy. I know a lot of Houston folks that jumped ship and had no faith in the Texans but me personally I strongly believe in loyalty and I will always support my home team. I'm a H-town chick so without a doubt I'm a Texans chick for always, through the good and the bad. Also, just in case you were wondering, everything really is BIGGER and BETTER in TEXAS lol!

Check out this cute Texas style video below, I thought it was share worthy.

See what you want? Create a Vision Board to help you get it!

What's the purpose of a Vision Board? A vision board is a collage of pictures and sometimes words that represent the things that you would like to accomplish in life. Other terms for a vision board include, treasure map, visual explorer, creativity collage and my favorite…goal board.

Everyone should use a vision board to help you keep focused on your life’s goals so that you accomplish and achieve more in life. The first step is to generate the desire of being happier, healthier, and wealthier. Then all you need is a poster board, a few old magazines, scissors and a glue stick and from there, the creation of your vision board will be a piece of wedding cake.

Your vision board should be placed in an area where you will see it daily, and have the opportunity to imagine the accomplishments of your dreams.

It’s also important to update your board periodically, as we grow and evolve so does our goals and desires. Below is a sample of my board from 2011…I’m working on my 2012 board this week!
