Visiting Texas: Club Nomadic Comes To Houston

Hey Butterflies! It's been a while (over three years lol) since my post about Houston hosting the Super Bowl again, since then Lady Gaga has been chosen as the headliner for the Super Bowl 51 halftime show and recently Club Nomadic had their groundbreaking in Houston in preparation for Super Bowl 51. Club Nomadic is an outdoor traveling nightclub that moves all over the U.S., usually setting up shop in cities where big events are happening and once all the fun is over they tear down the club and head to the next city. Club Nomadic will be in Houston during super bowl weekend February 2nd, 3rd, and fourth with scheduled performers like Bruno Mars headlining each night. I personally think it's a brilliant idea, I've been to an outdoor club that's here locally once before and it was so much fun; I'm sure Club Nomadic makes for an amazing experience. Visiting Texas: 2016 Comicpalooza Recap + 2017 Comicpalooza Event Dates

Hey Butterflies! I posted back in May about how I was looking forward to this year's Comicpalooza, well it was this past weekend here in Houston, Texas and it was a super cool experience as always. The Comicpalooza mobile app was a HUGE time saver again this year but the traffic in the area was really bad this year. I'm guessing it was due to the construction, Comicpalooza and the fact that the Red Soxs were in town playing the Astros; the traffic was kind of discouraging but we made it. Due to me having a ton of other obligations I didn't get to take it all in like I'd hope to, I spent most of my time driving back and forth. However, I did get to attend two literary panels, my kid met Zach Callison of Steven Universe as planned and my guy got some really awesome Batman throwing knives. I twitted about my kid's reaction to meeting Zach and he liked the tweet, I thought that was pretty cool considering most celebrities don't interact with their fan-base.

Hey Butterflies! It's that time of year again...it's Comicpalooza time! If you have no idea what I'm talking about just keep reading; the Texas International Comic Convention known as Comicpalooza is a annual multi-format pop culture convention geared towards the fans of comics, science fiction, fantasy, video and table top gaming, anime, and music and film. This year's convention will take place Friday, June 17th - Sunday, June 19th at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. I've been attending Comicpalooza every year since 2013 and it gets better each year. The convention has something fun for adults and kids of all ages.

Visiting Texas: Houston Restaurant Weeks Benefiting the Houston Food Bank: Del Frisco's Grille

Happy Sunday Butterflies! It's Restaurant Weeks in Houston and today I had the pleasure of dining at Del Frisco's Grille for Sunday Brunch and....it was AMAZING! A well prepared three course meal for only $25? I mean who wouldn't enjoy that?

The menu consisted of three options per course to choose from. I tried the Philly Cheese-Steak Egg Rolls for my starter, Red Velvet Waffles for my entree and Peanut Butter & Toffee Mousse for dessert. Sounds yummy right? Lol, It so was! Beverages are not included in the meal price so prepare to pay a little extra to try one or two of the tasty drinks at Del Frisco. I tried the Screwdriver (because it's one of my favorite drinks) and it was pretty awesome, and by "pretty awesome" I mean the alcohol to ice ratio was on point. lol
