Visiting Oklahoma: Interesting Things To Do in Oklahoma

Butterflies we took another road trip to Dallas, Texas recently but this time we went a little farther out and visited Oklahoma for the first time. It was a turn around trip so we didn’t have a lot of time to spend there but we made the most of the few hours we were in town. Check out a few of the things we did while in Oklahoma below:

Geronimo Memorial at Fort Sill Army Base | Apache Leader turned prisoner of war, Geronimo (Goyathlay) is buried at the Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma. Civilians are allowed on the base to visit the memorial but you have to go through a check-in process.

Harn Homestead Museum | The Harn Homestead Museum offers students and families hands-on activities in an 1800's Schoolhouse, a turn of the century Dairy Barn, a Farmhouse, and the gardens. Butterfly LifeStyle readers receive 50% Off Harn Homestead Family Four-Pack, offer good for daily admissions only. Pre-registration is required so don't forget to schedule your tour prior to visiting the museum. Also, the Harn Homestead is hosting Haunt the Harn, their annual fall festival event held on the museum grounds. Visit the Harn Homestead website for more information.

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum | I was in elementary school when this took place, I remember seeing the news reports and thinking “this can’t be happening”. It’s sad but a part of Oklahoma history now. memorialmuseum.com

America’s Incredible Pizza Company | One of the best buffet style restaurants; plenty to fresh food choices and loads of entertainment…it’s a good time every visit. America’s Incredible Pizza Company has several different US locations. incrediblepizza.com
