Butterflies, is it me or does my family have a thing for life story type movie/shows? I shared a similar story about a different music artist a few Thanksgivings ago and here we are again. After dinner (which was delicious af btw), we all kind of chilled out and watched a few movies and because I’m a music fanatic, the one that interest me the most was Respect, the recently released movie about the life of 60s singer and Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Ms. Franklin was born on March 25th, 1942 (Aries) in Memphis, TN where she grew up with a heavy church influence. The film starred singer/actress Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans and Mary J. Blige.
Check out a few of my favorite Aretha Franklin tracks below:
A Natural Woman -Lady Soul 1968
Ain’t No Way -Lady Soul 1968
I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) -I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) 1967

Son of A Preacher Man -This Girl’s In Love With You 1970
Think -Aretha Now 1968
