Butterflies, it still amazes me how much things have changed in the cannabis world over the past couple of years; the mainstream discovery of the many wonderful health benefits of cannabis use is to thank for this. Whether you’re consuming CBD, hemp, or cannabis products from your local dispensary, check out this multi-decade chronological list of popular songs about marijuana for something to vibe out to while you relax, unwind, and mellow out.

Music: The Music Walk of Fame Honors Amy Winehouse

The Music Walk of Fame recently honored the legacy of Amy Winehouse by dedicating a space on the Music Walk of Fame for the music icon in Camden.

There is also a life-sized bronze statue of Amy Winehouse in Camden’s Stables Market, not far from Amy’s old apartment. The statue was designed and created by artist Scott Eaton and features Amy’s signature beehive hairstyle.

’00s Music Spotlight: Help Yourself by Amy Winehouse

One of my favorite artists of all time, English singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse would have been 36 years old today, in honor of her birthday I wanted to share one of my favorite songs from her. “Help Yourself” was a featured track on her debut album titled “Frank”. The album title was in honor of her idol Mr. Frank Sinatra, the album was released in October 2003. Check out the track below:

My Favorite Lyrics on the Track:
“ We all become what we once hated”
“ I can't help you if you won't help yourself”
“You can only get so much from someone”

Music: Amy Winehouse

Butterflies, I’m so sad. An artist that I not too long ago discovered and sincerely enjoyed has passed away. The extraordinarily talented UK born soul singer and song writer Amy Winehouse was only 27 years old. It’s apparent that Amy was deeply troubled and struggled with depression for many years, which she expressed creatively through her music. Her unique beauty/vocal styles, struggles with depression, and admiration of New York rapper Nas aka “Mr. Jones” (much like that of my own) is what made her stand out to me.

Amy’s first album “Frank” was released in 2003 and three years later in 2006 she released her second album titled “Back to Black”. Even though her life and musical career were both short lived, she without a doubt made a infinite impact on the world.

Sharing my favorite songs of this year was easy but for melophiles like myself, combining an entire decade of music into one playlist is a bit of a challenge. I love listening to music and I enjoy listening to many different styles and genres of music, so my list of favorite songs can get ridiculous at times. Some of my favorite albums of this decade include: Away From the Sun by 3 Doors Down, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship by India Arie, Save Me San Francisco by Train, Back to Black by Amy Winehouse, The Eminem Show by Eminem, Still da Baddest by Trina, Ready by Trey Songz and so many others. For the sake of keeping it simple, below are some of the best and my favorite songs of this decade:
