In the Kitchen: Fruit Sangria

Hola Butterflies...Happy Sunday! I just finished prepping for next week and now I'm in the mood for a sangria. I didn't feel like going out so I decided to stay in and save a few bucks by making my own sangria at mi casa. This recipe is perfect if you're craving something fruity and refreshing with just a hint of alcohol!

Ingredients:
  • 1-2 cups of red wine
  • 1/2 orange cut into wedges
  • 1/2 lime cut into wedges
  • 1 shots of Peach Ciroc Vodka *optional
  • 1/4 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of frozen blackberries
  • 1/4 cup of frozen diced pineapples

 Preparation:

Pour wine into a pitcher, squeeze juice from the orange and lime into the wine, then toss in the fruit. Adding Circo is optional, I really like Ciroc Vodka so most of my drinks will have a hint of Ciroc but,  if you don't care for Ciroc you could instead add your favorite vodka or club soda or fruit juice to give it the taste you desire. Stir and enjoy. Use chilled red wine or ice if you're planning to drink it soon after making, if not put it in the fridge to chill.  This recipe makes about 2-3 servings, double the ingredients if you're planning to share!

Cheers! - Mika
