Oprah Winfrey interviewing Bobbi Kristina on Next Chapter
|
Earlier
this week, Oprah Winfrey
was granted the first interview with the family of late Pop icon
Whitney Houston for her OWN series, “Next Chapter.” During the
discussion Houston’s daughter
Bobbi Kristina, revealed that
she would be following in her mother’s footsteps as an entertainer.
“I’m her daughter, I have to carry on her
legacy,” she told Oprah. “I have a voice. I’m going to do some acting and
dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it. She was preparing
me for what’s to come.”
Media sources report that Whitney left Bobbi Kristina 100% of her assets in
her will ... an estate valued at
around $20 million. According
to reports, Houston's money will be put in a trust -- which Bobbi will have
access to in stages ... earning a portion when she turns 21, another chunk when
she turns 25, and the rest when she turns 30. Whitney signed it back in 1993, a
month before she gave birth to Bobbi.
Sources are also reporting now that Whitney's gone;
Bobbi Kristina Brown
plans to change her name making it simply "
Kristina Houston."
It's unclear when she plans to make the change official. Bobbi Kristina is
telling friends ... she's wanted to change her name for years -- ever since her
parents split -- but Whitney wouldn't let her.
