Did you see the SuperMoon? + Nancy B's Science Club Review & Giveaway

Did you guys get a chance to check out the Supper Moon Sunday before last (June 23rd)? Well we pulled out the scope and made it a family night activity and it was a really cool experience. My kiddo was super excited about it but I think I was more ecstatic than she was. I have to say it was a beautiful sight to see and a very magical moment, if you missed it you you missed a treat.

Product Review:

I received the new Educational Insights Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope & Sky Gazer’s Activity Journal in the mail for my 8 year old daughter and she LOVED it! She was so excited to use it and get started on the activity journal that came along with it. I really liked the design and cool colors and love the fact that it was very easy to put together and to use. The activity journal has almost 20 different (and very interesting) learning activities and includes some really great fun facts.

This product is designed for kids ages 8 and up to help promote a growing interest in science and there has defiantly been a spike in my daughters science interest since receiving the Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope. It’s a great summer outdoor activity that helps keep kids learning over the summer in a fun way. Whether it's just looking at the night sky, gazing at stars, sneaking a peak at craters on the moon, or viewing rings around Saturn; it’s a fantastic back to school and overall learning tool. Please visit ToysRUs.com for more product information and/or to purchase. The Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope retails at $50.00.

Self Love: Learning To Let Go...My Thoughts

Karrueche posted a photo of herself and Chris Brown on Instagram yesterday right before the BET Awards saying "My baby. Good luck today.", so I guess Karrueche and Chris are back on again? Let me start by making it undeniably clear that it honestly doesn’t matter to me who they choose to kick it with because I fully understand that possessing that kind of information will in no way change any aspect of my life and secondly I believe in the "live and let live" motto for life. The only reason this is even a topic of discussion is because I use to be a big CB fan so by habit I kind of but not really follow CB news.

Anyway, I can sincerely say as of this day that there is no guy in the world, celebrity crushes included that I would be going through the motions for like this. There's being young and in lust/love and then there's being in denial. I don't and can't keep up with the whole love triangle thing but I saw all the post about it and it made me think a few years back to when I was that age and didn't have a clue until I had my aha moment. Well actually I've had three major aha moments the first at the age of 18, the second at 22 and the other at the age of 25 and I remember them all like it was yesterday. I was just sitting and thinking about my past mistakes, my goals and pretty much life in general (yes I'm a thinker lol) and my thoughts started to run together or I got lost in them but then out of no where everything became clear. In that moment of self realization it became clear what I needed to change about myself, who I needed to cut tides with and what I needed to do to get to the next point in my life.

Speaking from my own personal experiences, letting go is one of the hardest things to do and everyone deals with it in their own way but you have to be ready to let go and when you're ready you'll know, it'll come naturally. It's like that old Fannie Lou Hamer saying, "All my life I've been sick and tired. Now I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired." When you reach the point of being truly tired of being mistreated you'll have a aha moment and learn quickly to let go of certain things and people for the sake of your own happiness.
