I’m making a quick post about one of my most favorite topics to discuss; I am thankful there is an entire month dedicated it. Did you guys know that May Is National Mental Health Awareness Month? I discovered the holiday over a decade ago via a post on one of my social media sites but mental health still isn’t talked about nearly as much as it should be.
This month should be dedicated to educating, having open discussions, creating an open dialogue of support and destigmatization. Lately with all the things that are going on in my personal life, mental health has become a reoccurring topic of conversation for me over the years and open discussions about mental health definitely have their benefits. Knowing that you are not alone in the struggle and that other people are dealing with similar issues radiates hope in a weird little way.
