Music: Best of Sade

In the early 1980s, Sade Adu a Nigerian born British singer from London along with fellow band members Paul Anthony Cooke, Stuart Mathewman, and Paul Spencer Denman formed the band Sade. The international music icon’s unique sound and undeniable talent has led her and her band to reach an impressive level of success including the release of six studio albums. 

Sade’s first album Diamond Life was released in 1984 and is now a 4x platinum certified album. Their most recent album titled Soldier of Love was released in 2010. For almost half a century their impact on contemporary music has influenced many of the amazing artist we know today. Sade’s music style/genres include soul, smooth jazz, sophisti-pop, progressive soul and R&B.

Sade Adu’s birthday is January 16th (she’s a Capricorn) and to celebrate her, here are some of my favorite Sade songs:
