What’s your favorite Drake song? I can’t believe he’s been making music this long and I haven’t got bored of him yet, to celebrate his accomplishments, artistic talent and birthday (October 24th), here’s a list of some of the best songs featuring Drake. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Drake songs without any features but some of my favorite Drake songs are collaborations or features. This list is updated yearly as new Drake music is released.

Juneteenth 2020
How do you celebrate your freedom? It legitimately surprises me how many people weren’t educated about Juneteenth growing up, I mean how could they not know? Juneteenth or Freedom Day was/is a critical part of American history and honestly 1865 wasn’t that long ago. I remember learning about it in elementary but I guess it depends on where you grew up or the school you attended.

Visiting Texas

I've never wanted the rain to stop so bad in my entire life, it poured rain nonstop for days, causing life threatening problems for all of us. My guy was stuck at his job for five days, my sister's home was flooded and they had to be rescued, my cousin's home was flooded, and I was trapped in my neighborhood surrounded by water, unable to get to my loved ones, work or anywhere else. It's still all unreal to me, it's like something you see on the news and you feel bad for the people going thorough it but until you actually go through it or a similar situation..it's hard to truly understand.

Butterflies, are you considering a big chop? Well join the club, Texas born and raised musical artist Beyoncé hair has been the the topic of discussion for many of her fans (and critics too) because she recently debuted a new hairstyle. There were a few pictures posted to her Instagram about two weeks ago that got everyone talking hair, it's like the biggest thing since the whole natural hair movement began (but not really lol). I did a big chop a few years ago prior to starting my natural hair journey and I loved how convenient my pixie cut was, it was actually easier to maintain than natural hair is contrary to what people believe.
Anyway, I guess everyone is so use to seeing Beyoncé with her long/curly hair that they're in shock she decided to change it up, the picture (below) is a photo of Beyoncé rocking a short "pixie cut". Just a few days ago more photos were posted to Bey's Instagram, this time of her rocking a "bob cut". I think they're both cute! Anyway, which would you rock?

Visiting Texas
You might not know it but Houston has helped produce some of the most talented artist you know like designer Tom Ford, singer Johnny Nash, singer Beyoncé, actress Renée Zellweger and the lead star in my favorite movie of all time...the late actor Patrick Swayze. The next time you're in the Houston, Texas area be sure to stop by some of the incredible museums H-town has to offer. The Houston museum district is made
up of over a dozen different museums with a lot of history and cool facts to
offer. Checkout my some of my favorite Houston area museums below, visit each museum’s website for hours of operation, admission cost and other important information.
Occasionally, admission for some of these museums can be purchased at a discount on Groupon so be sure to do a little research before you plan your next museum adventure.
Money Saving Tip:
Thursday is the day for free admission to many of Houston’s museums but check
with the museum to be sure before you head out there.

Music loving butterflies, shortly we’ll be jamming out in an entirely new decade, which got me to thinking...what are some of your favorite songs from this decade? Sharing my favorite songs of this year was easy but for melophiles like myself, combining an entire decade of music into one playlist is a bit of a challenge. I love listening to music and I enjoy listening to many different styles and genres of music, so my list of favorite songs can get ridiculous at times. Some of my favorite albums of this decade include: Away From the Sun by 3 Doors Down, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship by India Arie, Save Me San Francisco by Train, Back to Black by Amy Winehouse, The Eminem Show by Eminem, Still da Baddest by Trina, Ready by Trey Songz and so many others. For the sake of keeping it simple, below are some of the best and my favorite songs of this decade:
