Visiting Alabama: Fun Things to Do In and Around Birmingham

Butterflies, I spent a few days in Alabama recently and it was a surprisingly good time. A lot of people have this preconceived notion of Alabama being super countryfied and dreadfully boring, kind of like what everyone thinks of Texas but, we all know that’s far from the truth. There are plenty of interesting things to do in Alabama; after doing a little research and asking around in a couple of my travel groups, I discovered more than a few popular sites, some great museums, good places for shopping and of course tons of delicious food. I didn’t get to do everything I planned to but here are a few of my favorites:
