Visiting Texas: Rodeo Houston 2013

1 Plan Ahead!

For me and my family it's tradition to attend the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo every year so we are use to everything. But if you are planning your first visit to the rodeo I suggest you plan your entire visit ahead of time. There will be a lot of traffic and parking can be a bit of a hassle. We always park in either the purple or yellow lot for about $10.

2 Purchase Ahead!

Tickets for all the rodeo concerts normally go on sale weeks before rodeo season begins so it would be a good idea to purchase those as soon as you can because they sell out quick. This year Bruno Mars will be the biggest act and tickets are completely sold out.

Also if you plan to visit the carnival and you have a big crowd you might want to purchase one of the rodeo discount coupon books to save a few bucks. You can normally purchase them on the Rodeo Houston website or through your kids school and they're good for most games and rides.

3 Wear Comfortable Shoes and Clothing!

In late February early March the weather is normally cool or breezy as I call it but as a native Houstonian I can ensure you that the weather is never really for certain here. I would wear a light swear, comfortable clothing, and walking shoes (because you will be doing alot of walking).

Additional Tips:

Tip: If you park in the yellow lot you can catch the free tram to the stadium.
Tip: You can get into the carnival for free if you purchase rodeo tickets. Carnival tickets separately are about $15.
Tip: Bring extra cash for food and souvenirs.
Tip: Be prepared to walk.

Life Update: New Year 2013

Much like the year before, 2012 has been one heck of a year but I survived and I'm forever thankful for GOD's grace. Anyways...WOW! I still can't believe it's 2013 already! This year I decided I will no longer make resolutions but instead I will continue on my life's journey of forever growth by becoming better. A better believer in GOD, a better, wife, a better mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, listener, student, entrepreneur and in general a better human being. I don't know about you all but I'm looking forward to the new year. HELLO 2013!!!!

Beauty Trends: Nexxus Salon Hair Care Products

Butterflies, as promised in my previous post about the Nexxus Hair Care products that I purchased from CVS for really cheap, here's my update/review of the two items I purchased. This was my first time using Nexxus products and for the most part I really liked both products. The Nexxus Salon Hair Care Frizz Defy FrizzProtection Styling Creme really helped with my flyaways and I would defiantly purchase this one again.

Now as for the Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner I think this was a one time thing for me. I honestly didn't notice a major difference in my hair compared to me using a less expensive conditioner. This also could be because I didn't get to use the full bottle. I used this conditioner once maybe twice before it cracked at the top and spilled out all over everything in my bathroom closet. The upside is that I contacted the manufacture to express my concerns about this product and they did agree to replace it.

Overall I think Nexxus brand is a good hair care brand and I really give the FrizzProtection Styling Crème two thumbs up, however my bad experience with their Humectress product packaging has me a little skeptical about purchasing any other Nexxus products.
