Visiting Texas: Color Me Mine...Ceramic Painting in Bee Cave, Texas

UPDATE: Hey Butterflies! I was in the Austin/San Antonio area a few weeks ago with the family so we decided to stop by  the Hill Country Galleria's Color Me Mine in Bee Cave. Sadly, we weren't able to color anything because we were only in town for two days. It takes 3-4 days for the ceramics to completely dry after painting and shipping is not available. We still had a blast learning all about the process and we will defiantly be back.

Check out photos and original post below.

Visiting Texas: Natural Bridge Caverns | San Antonio, Tx

This is a sponsored post. Update: I was in the San Antonio area a couple weeks back with my family and since visiting the the Natural Bridge Caverns was on my list of things to do, we decided to make it happen. In case you were wondering, natural caverns are caves formed naturally by the weathering of rock. Before the tour started we were given "the talk" about the do's and don'ts of the caverns; we were told not to touch the walls of the caverns because of oil on our fingers and it being harmful to the rocks.

Y'all it's so freaking beautiful inside the caverns, it's a wonderful thing to experience. The caverns are about 180 feet deep and some of the steps are steep and wet because it's very humid in the caverns. I definitely recommend stretching before, dressing comfortably and wearing a pair of walking shoes with a good grip. We didn't do any of the other fun activities Natural Bridge Caverns have to offer like the maze or the zip line because, honestly my nerves would have been shattered (maybe next time) lol but hiking the trail of the caverns was Discovery Tour was enough. Nature never ceases to amaze me. At the end of the tour we picked up our photo that was taken while on the tour and headed to the gift shop were I picked up some really cool bat socks to add to my sock collection lol I'm so weird.

Life Update: The Universe/God's Message to Me from a Stranger

Above note from a complete stranger was passed to me in 2001
Good Morning Butterflies! Before I tell you guys my story let me remind you all that for the most part I'm not religious (I do believe that their is a God or Higher Power) and I can be sort of heathenish at times lol. So, moving right along to my story; yesterday I had a fifteen minute long telephone conversation with a complete stranger and that conversation was one of the most soul touching talks that I've had in a long time and it started with food lol. So...I got a call from this random guy about a cook-top (I was at work) and he starts talking about cooking. Mr. H (that's what we're going to call him) asked me if I had ever tried "Jamaican Food" (he's Jamaican) and after thinking long and hard about it my answer was "no". Mr. H was surprised by my answer and honestly I was a little surprised too, I mean I can't believe I haven't tried Jamaican food yet...I'm always trying something new lol.

Since I told him that I had never tried Jamaican cuisine he asked if I had ever eaten Creole/Cajun food (I'm guessing because the food is similar!?...idk) I replied yes all the time (my mom is from Welsh, Louisiana); his response was: "YOU'RE NOT LIVING THEN, UNTIL YOU TRY JAMAICAN FOOD YOU'RE NOT LIVING!" I asked Mr. H which Jamaican cuisine I should try first and he suggested either Jerked Chicken or Curry Chicken as well as a restaurant near by that I should try.
