It’s May and wedding season is in full swing. If you are getting ready for your big day depending on the number of guest you are planning for and your budget your wedding can be anything from an extravagant affair to an intimate romantic evening. However with adequate amount of planning, no matter your budget you can still have the wedding of your dreams.
Due to our current ever changing economy status a lot of brides are now more than ever turning to “DIY” (Do It Yourself) services to help cut the cost of their wedding. When using the DIY method for planning your wedding be careful not to over saturate your cost cutting, this may cause additional expenses in the long run. Instead I suggest figuring out what aspect of your wedding is more important to you personally (i.e. your dress, cake, photos, accessories, centerpieces or your venue) and invest more time, energy and finances into those items and less in the items that won’t directly impact your dream day (i.e. invitations, favors, entertainment, transportation).
Whether you are hiring a certified wedding planner or planning it yourself budgeting is very essential to planning a wedding so set a realistic budget and do everything you can to stick strictly to it. When setting your budget be sure to allow enough flexibility for unexpected expenses for example those items you didn’t plan for put just must have.
If you are unsure about your budget or planning for your wedding, schedule an appointment with a wedding planner as soon as you have decided on your date, most wedding planners offer free initial consults and can save you money.
