Visiting Texas: Houston Archery Lessons & Range

  

I hung out with the ladies in my wifey meetup group at Houston Archery Lessons & Range and we had a really great time. It's $20 per person (found on Groupon) which includes equipment and they do group and private lessons and kids parties. Fact, real life archery is nothing like it is on the Wii (lol). Technique is everything and is also very painful (my fingers were in pain from repeatedly pulling on the bow) but it was worth experiencing something new. Yay! to new experiences!

Beauty Trends: Top Beauty Picks of the Month, Avon Edition

Salut Butterflies! I'm super ecstatic about my newest beauty products and this post. I know a ton of people that have been selling Avon products for years but I've just never really had an interest in buying any of their products but I'm actually glad I finally gave in this time. Overall I really like everything I purchased, especially my sparkle tweezers and even though I already have like a hundred tweezers I just had to have these cuties (I'm such a girly girl). I thought the lip gloss would be a little darker/thicker when applied but I was wrong; it's still cute though. 

In the Kitchen: Chicken Taco Penne

What You Need:

1 package of penne pasta

1-2 lb(s). boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

1 jar of chunky salsa

1 bag of frozen corn

1 green/bell pepper, cut into strips

1 cup shredded Mexican cheese

How To Make It:

Prepare pasta using directions on package and in a different skillet, cook chicken. Once the chicken is fully cooked, stir in salsa ( about 2/3 give or take according to your preference), corn ( you can use 1/2 of the bag or the whole bag if you're a corn lover) and peppers. Let cook for an additional 8-12 minutes on medium then stir in pasta and cheese and remove from heat.

Beauty Trends: The Body Shop Names "Leona Lewis" New Face of Cruelty Free Makeup Line

The Body Shop has named singer Leona Lewis as their new brand spokesperson. The Limited Edition cruelty-free, vegetarian collection is set to launch on March 26. The singer and long-time vegetarian said, “I'm passionate about beauty and I'm all about animal rights. As a result, I'm really conscious of where the products that I use come from.” Also starting in May, The Body Shop customers will have the opportunity to sign a pledge in support of the non-profit organization Cruelty Free International who’s pushing for a global ban on animal testing for cosmetic purposes. I love it and can't wait to try these new products. Kudos Leona!
