Wellness: Breast Cancer Awareness

Butterflies, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and if you haven’t already, CHECK YOURSELF!! Like with most illnesses, the earlier you discover and treat it the better your chances are of survival. I have a strong family history of early age breast cancer and because of that I’ve been getting annual mammograms since I turned 30. Here are a few things I’ve learned from getting my annual Well Woman Exams:

Music: Brunch On Sundays by Nas

Rapper, entrepreneur, and educator Nas released a new album recently titled, King’s Disease II which is a follow up to his 2020 King’s Disease album. The first track I heard from the album was Brunch On Sundays and it’s definitely worth listening to. I like how positive and full of good vibes it is. And speaking of brunch, did you know Nas is also a restaurant owner? Sweet Chick is a casual brunch style restaurant with locations in New York and California.

Nas has released a lot of great tracks over his career, I’ve been listening to his music since I was a kid; my all time favorite Nas track thus far is and probably always will be, If I Ruled The World from his 1996 It Was Written Album.
