The Texas Renaissance Festival is a Renaissance fair that was first held in the 70's and is now held annually in Todd Mission, Texas. The TRF is usually open on Saturday, Sunday, & Thanksgiving Friday during the months of October and November. Each week has a different theme and attendees dress in costumes according to the theme for that weekend, I went on the Barbarian Invasion weekend and I really enjoyed it.

It's that time of year again Butterflies! Cooler weather, boots & sweaters and pumpkin flavored everything. I recently came across a "how to video" for making pumpkin slime that I know my little human is going to love, then I just found out the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks and the coolest of all, my spa is offering "pumpkin facials". Don't you just love the fall? Speaking of pumpkin, Lone Star Family Farm is offering a wide range of attractions that are fun for the whole family this fall!

Hey Butterflies! I know it's been a while since you heard from me, with school starting back we had to get back adjusted to a normal routine so I was off "gettin er done" lol. Anyway, there's a new product I'm excited to share this with you guys. I was sent three of the new ChapStick Natural Lip Butter lip moisturizers to try out and review so it'll get right to it. I must start by saying I've been using ChapStick products for as long as I can remember and they haven't disappointed me yet.

Butterflies, what’s the weirdest date you’ve ever been on? Ok, going to the gun range is not really weird (practice makes perfect) but it’s not romantic at all and for someone who has zero interest in guns it can be boring. Anyway, my partner is into learning about knives, swords, guns…pretty much most things you’ll see in your favorite action movie and since it’s important to explore each other’s interest we made a date of it.

Visiting Texas

Hotels on the island are usually more expensive than those in surrounding cities; we normally stay in League City whenever we're heading to Galveston but this time we spent the night in Webster, Tx.
I saw that this location was recently renovated so I couldn't wait to see how this location compared to other Extended Stay hotels I've stayed at in the past.
