Visiting Texas: Things to Do in Baytown

Butterflies we took a day trip to Baytown, Texas for a laid back day of adventure just minutes from Houston’s Bay Area. I originally planned to stop by the farmers market only but decided at the last minute to make a day of it. There are so many beautiful art murals and installations all over the city, as well as yummy food. Around the World from Home: Date Night at Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting

Butterflies, I recently attended a tequila tasting for date night and it was so much fun. Tequila is a product of Mexico and is one of the world’s most recognized and favored spirits. Ironically, Mexico City is one of my travel goals…I’m looking forward to touring the tequila and Frida Kahlo museums while visiting. Until then, I’ll continue to enjoy my tequila drinks here in Texas.

Butterflies, what’s your favorite type of jewelry to wear? For me it’s earrings, pendant necklaces and occasionally bracelets. I used to have this really cute pre-styled silver charm bracelet with silver, blue, and teal charms but I’m not sure what happened to it. Anyway, lately I’ve been seeing charm bracelets everywhere and now I want a new charm bracelet. Visiting Texas: Things Every Texas Mermaid Should Experience

Butterflies, I spent a few days in Alabama recently and it was a surprisingly good time. A lot of people have this preconceived notion of Alabama being super countryfied and dreadfully boring, kind of like what everyone thinks of Texas but, we all know that’s far from the truth.
