OOTD: No Bad Vibes ✌🏽️❤️😃

Hey Butterflies! As you probably noticed with most of my sets, the color scheme is black; black is my favorite color as well as my happy color. With everything that's been going on all over the world, especially these last couple of days I thought I'd send some positive vibes out. I came across a John Lennon quote that kind of inspired this set. "We live in a world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad daylight." I was taught to be kind to everyone no matter how much we may differ, not everyone is raised the same and I get that but wouldn't life be SO MUCH easier if we all JUST LIVE and LET LIVE? Anyway that's my two cents on current events...hope you like the set! Check out product details below.

In the Kitchen: Quick Budget-Friendly Chicken & Vegetable Lo Mein

Hāi Butterflies! I don't know anyone that enjoys Lo Mein as much as I do, it's the perfect nutritional mixture of protein, vegetables, and carbohydrates when done right. My love for lo mein, saving money and easy recipes inspired me to share a quick version of the Chinese meal that I make when I'm hungry and pressed for time. Prepare using the ingredients below; sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Next, add chicken breast and tomato, season with black pepper and cayenne pepper and continue sautéing for another 2-3 minutes, then add broth and toss in the veggies and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes or until tender. Prepare noodles as directed on packaging, adding the pre-package seasoning of only one. Finally, add noodles and a tablespoon of sriracha or more seasoning if your taste buds require it. Enjoy!

Visiting Texas: Schlitterbahn Water Park Galveston TX

Butterflies! I hadn’t been to a water-park since my Astro/WaterWorld days…like 2001-ish; I finally visited a water-park (as an adult) and had an awesome time. Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark features more than 33 attractions, designed to have something for every age like: inland surfing on the Boogie Bahn if you want an ocean like experience, splash zones for the little humans and a mile long Transportainment River system, which allows guest to float throughout the entire park without ever leaving the water. To celebrate its 10 year anniversary, Galveston unveiled a new ride this summer, which is the world's tallest water coaster - MASSIV!

Visiting Texas: 2016 Comicpalooza Recap + 2017 Comicpalooza Event Dates

Hey Butterflies! I posted back in May about how I was looking forward to this year's Comicpalooza, well it was this past weekend here in Houston, Texas and it was a super cool experience as always. The Comicpalooza mobile app was a HUGE time saver again this year but the traffic in the area was really bad this year. I'm guessing it was due to the construction, Comicpalooza and the fact that the Red Soxs were in town playing the Astros; the traffic was kind of discouraging but we made it. Due to me having a ton of other obligations I didn't get to take it all in like I'd hope to, I spent most of my time driving back and forth. However, I did get to attend two literary panels, my kid met Zach Callison of Steven Universe as planned and my guy got some really awesome Batman throwing knives. I twitted about my kid's reaction to meeting Zach and he liked the tweet, I thought that was pretty cool considering most celebrities don't interact with their fan-base.
