Butterflies there’s only three seasons that I look forward to each year, love season, cancer season and spooky season. Spooky season benefits: the weather is nicer, pumpkin flavored everything is available and you can dress like your favorite weirdo without being judged. Since it’s October and officially the start of spooky season I thought I’d share some of the cool fall festivals and Halloween events happening all around Texas:

I’m making a quick post about two of my most favorite topics to discuss; I am ecstatic there is an entire month dedicated to them. Did you guys know that May Is National Mental Health Awareness Month as well as National Masturbation Month? I won’t talk much on the latter of the two topics (IYKYK 👀😂🤫) but I do want to mention that sexual health is important and matters just as much as mental health.

Haigh (hi) Butterflies! Like so many others, I've participated in the fun traditions that are apart of the "St. Patrick's Day" holiday for as long as I can remember but the only thing I truly knew until recently was 1) it's always celebrated on the 17th day of March and 2) you have to wear green to avoid being pinched. This year I decided to do some research about this green holiday and here’s what I've learned...

How do you show your partner you appreciate them? An even better question is how often do you show your partner that you appreciate them? If you only show your partner love on their birthday, Christmas or Valentine’s Day then you could definitely stand to show more love. I get it, we all get busy with life and forget about the things/people that matter the most. Life’s too short to not love on our loved ones as often as possible; to help you remember, below are some alternative holidays meant for showing your significant other appreciation.

I didn’t but it’s a good thing that I usually start planning my next vacation while on vacation lol. For the past few years I’ve been on my own personal journey through self-awareness, self-care and self-love. Living the adult life, as well as caring for the ones we love has the tendency to lead us down a path to disregarding our own needs and wants. As the saying goes, you can’t truly love or care for anyone else until you’ve learned to love and care for yourself, to help us remember to love on ourselves as often as possible, here is a list of holidays that will serve as perfect little reminders to spoil yourself this year:

Butterflies! For the last eight holiday seasons, I’ve had the pleasure of participating in an old fashion holiday card exchange; sending and receiving beautiful handwritten cards is so heartwarming and it defiantly helps spread holiday cheer. I wrote a guide post sharing gifts from around the world and that post inspired me to expand my reach so instead of just exchanging cards with people in the States, I started exchanging holiday cards with people from all over the world. It’s a great experience and makes for a wonderful holiday tradition.

Butterflies, for the last couple of years I’ve been celebrating the new year really low key. On New Year’s Eve I usually put up a few decorations, make some tacos, pickup cupcakes, and lots of champagne and bring in the new year from the comfort of my home. On New Year’s Day I prepare a traditional meal and spend most of the day setting my intentions for the year. How do you bring in the new year? Do you customarily participate in any New Year traditions or superstitions? Check out my list of the top most popular New Years traditions:

Butterflies, we survived another year…Happy New Year! What are your goals for the year? What are you hoping to accomplish? I try to update my vision board at the start of each year to help me stay focused on my goals and life’s purpose and in the process, for the last five years this song seems to always pop in my head.
New Balance was featured on Jhené Aiko’s second studio album titled “Trip”; the album was released in September of 2017. This song is easily one of my favorite songs of all times; for me it’s about finding peace. What about you? What do you think? Eid Mubarak (Blessed Eid) Butterflies! If you’re unfamiliar with Islam, Eid is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all over the world, marking the end of the dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan which lasts between 29 and 30 days, depending on when a new moon is sighted. Since the exact date of Eid depends on the lunar calendar, sighting of the new moon means that Eid al-Fitr can begin.
